We have recently released a new theme to be used with the concrete5 content management system (CMS). Coffee Bean is a responsive website designed for cafés and restaurants, built with HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap v2.3.2.

This template will adjust to different browser widths, and content looks good on a mobile or on a tablet, such as IPad. When viewed on a mobile, a collapsible menu is displayed.

We have designed the theme with restaurants and cafés in mind, so have used shades of mocha to create that cafe feeling; however, really anyone wanting a Bootstrap theme with content management can use this theme. There are loads of customisation options, so you can change the colour of nearly everything on the website. Concrete5 features an easy to use customisation panel where you can select colours for the different components of the site. Easy!

The website features a full width header image with an area to add your own text. So find an eye catching image that reflects your business, and add your own strapline.

For those of you that are using this for a restaurant or cafe, we have included 3 page types that can be used for creating menus. We have provided step by step instructions if you want to add the menus using HTML or, if HTML scares you, add the menu items easily using our custom blocks. If you are using this theme for something other than a restaurant or cafe, there are other uses for the menu pages, such as price lists for services, for example.

We have provided 11 page types to give you various options in page layout. We have included a special page called “Gallery” which has a responsive grid layout that can be used to display pictures to show off your wares or services.

We hope that you enjoy this new theme and look forward to hearing from you if you have any questions about the theme. The Coffee Bean theme can be purchased on the concrete5 marketplace.
